Travel and Inclusivity Grants

Supported by Ableton and Native Instruments

In order to promote diversity and inclusivity at this year’s DAFx conference, we are offering 4 bursaries to applicants who are in need of support. Each of the bursaries will cover the cost of one standard registration (including all social events, tutorials, workshops and additional activities), along with a travel grant of up to £250 per applicant which will be provided through a standard UK expenses procedure.

The grants are kindly supported by Ableton and Native Instruments, and are intended to help those who may struggle to finance attendance at DAFx, and to encourage diversity. This is in addition to our newly introduced Code of Conduct, which aims to provide a welcoming environment for all attendees.

To apply for a travel grant, you will need to send a CV, along with a cover letter (no longer than one side fo A4) that explains your requirements for a bursary to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions will be Friday, 31st of May Friday, 7th of June, in order to give unsuccessful applicants time to purchase earlybird tickets if required. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of DAFx committee members, and a decision will be made mid-June. For more details, please visit the DAFx website. Applications from delegates who have submitted papers will be prioritised, and in addition we will aim to provide support specifically for underrepresented groups.
